Kryza: Traditional Lemkivshchyna Necklace
The Kryza is a traditional jewelry piece, common in the Lemkivshchyna region during the 19th and 20th centuries. This wide beaded necklace, shaped like a collar, covers the neck, shoulders, and chest. The GUNIA Project Kryza is handcrafted by skilled craftswomen in Zaporizhzhia. Creating the geometric motif ornaments requires up to 8 hours of work and an innumerable number of beads.
